How do I get the best sound quality from MMM 17?

How do I get the best sound quality from MMM 17.  I finished my arrangement, which is mostly MMM VST instruments played on my AKAI LPK25 midi keyboard, and listening through my headphones the sound was fine. When I mixed down to a WAV file and played it on my big CD system the sound was dull  and a bit mufffled.  Very annoying after spending many, many, many hours on my arrangement.  Is it the quality of the MMM vsti? Or the midi keyboard I use? Or when I mix the arrangement down to a WAV? Or are there any settings I can use to improve the quality?  I don't want to do another project until I find out, I really enjoyed the process (my first project) until I heard the end result.

Best, Glen.

Never try to master a piece of music using your headphones only... "they" will deceive you pretending a very good sound quality... you should use different kinds of systems, loudspeaker (boxes)... or if you think it becomes necessary (more songs, more mixing/mastering)... you could invest in some monitor loudspeakers...

But hey... they should be quite expensive and you should be very good in mastering(*) your tracks before that...

(*) that's another science in music production
