how do i change an audio file to mp3

If you load the audio file, you then go to the drop down menu "File", then "Export Audio" then choose MP3.

MP3 is not a free format, so if you are running a system without a MP3 license you may have to purchase one.

I think if you are running Windows Media Player 10 or higher, you get a MP3 encoder. If you have iTunes installed, you can also load the audio file in iTunes and convert it to MP3
