Hi,

To view a DVD from a computer, you need a software like Windows Media Player version 11 or the latest installed or any DVD player software supply with your DVD drive. Also many users use AVS4you player.

QuickTime movie player is free from www.apple.com

Many thanks for your reply.

The program Magix Xtreme Photostory 8 on CD & DVD 8 that I have just purchased is supposed to burn a disc for watching on a PC  or DVD player on television.

I only appear to have the option to burn a disc for a DVD player but want to play the disc on the computer, that is my problem, I've made the storyline up fine and then I'm stuck.

Any further guidance would be appreciated.

Hi

. . . . The program Magix Xtreme Photostory 8 on CD & DVD 8 that I have just purchased is . . .

This is an old version of Photostory (released 2009) and if you have installed this on a Windows 8 computer - you did not give any details about your computer specification and Windows version - I would expect you to have problems with trying to burn a disc.

Any good video player software as YR has said will play standard DVD,s on a computer (assuming the computer has a DVD or BD drive), many other users recommend VLC because this will play just about every video or audio file format and DVD there is.
