How do I add in a recording at a later point in the song?

For example, If I want to add a guitar solo to the ending of my existing arrangement, how do I begin the recording at that later point in the song? It's very simple with other recording software, and it's unbearable to have to hit 'Record' and then wait 2 minutes while you wait for your part to play... Help!

Have you tried moving the Start marker to about two or three measures before you want to start recording? You may also need to move the End marker out far enough to allow you to finish the recording.
