how can you import your own music, keep getting wrong format

I want to import my own music to add to my slideshow but when I try and add them I get a message saying they can't be imported, it is the wrong format. I don't know what formats are acceptable. Please help

Which software are you trying to use?

What does your documentation say?

What format are your files?

Are you importing directly from your hard drive?

Hi,

As you did not mention product you are using I guess it is Photostory. If that is the case these are the format supported by Photostory.
Audio: Imports camera sound, non-copy-protected CD tracks, MP3, OGG, WAV , etc.; sound recordings.

I think if you want quick and right answer you should add more information to this question such as: Prodcut name, Windows Xp, Vista or 7.
