What you want to do is called Control Room Monitoring and depending on your set-up there are several ways to accomplish that.

The easiest is to simply use headphones and listen to the beat through the headphones as you record your voice - this is why you always see singers wearing headphones and singing through a pop filter screen. Be careful though... if you don't have closed-back headphones then you might get some bleed through into your mic.

Depending on your Music Maker version you may have a record button in the icon area at the beginning of your track - this will allow you to monitor your voice when recording too.
