How can I Delete slideshow in photo story 2013 deluxe?

2 questions.

1.  If I delete one version of a slideshow does it affect  another version using all the same pictures and music?

2.  If I delete photos  from   "my pictures"  that were used in a slide show, does it mess up the copy of the slideshow?

3.  If I delete a song from "my music"   that was used in a slideshow,  (after the slide show has been saved) does it mess up the slideshow in Photostory?

Hi

1.  If they are saved as seperate projects - deleting one should not affect the other.

2. Delete the photos and the project will be useless.  If you need to delete the photos make sure you have used the Backup and copy to a single folder option to preserve the entire project  - you can then copy this to a DVD if it will fit on a single disc for future use/archiving

3. Yes - the slideshow will be messed up - see 2.

The software is a non destructive editor - none of the original files are changed in any way.  It is only at the time of export, or burn DVD, that any editing is actually done the originals still remain intact.

The originals are required in the folders where they were originally used from if you want to use or edit the project again or backed up see 2

Hi

The difference is subtle -

Copy project and media into folder:-  the project and all of the files it contains are saved together in one folder. Use this function to transfer an entire project to another folder, computer or backup to disc (using some disc writing software eg Nero, Imgburn etc) - this is a true backup

Copy slideshow and media into folder:- copies the final the slideshow and all necessary files for the slideshow to any folder. Can then be written to disc as above.

You should have a third option:

Burn slideshow and media to CD/DVD
Use this option to burn the slideshow and all relevant files direct to CD or DVD.
