I want to create my own samples from live electric guitar for use in Samplitude Music Studio 15.  Can I do this using this DAW or if not,  can anybody recommend a Wave editor that will enable me to create the samples for use in Music Studio 15 ?

Can I cut up wave files in Music Studio 15 for use as samples and if so how do I do it ?

Hi,

Not sure where to start here, as this is kind of basic functionality of the software. There is a recording functions and there are pretty powerful audio processing functions, including ones you can use to build loop objects. Once you have isolated the loop this way, you could export it via the "File" menu into a WAV file again. I'd recommend reading the documentation and experimenting with the program a bit. That's probably all it takes. If you have any really specific questions regarding this process, feel free to ask again.

There is a slizer somewhere in the programme, try to look for it. It can cut up the given sound into samples.
