yes it was already set on Automatic Interlace

No - I meant take the tick out so that it is not trying to deinterlace something that is not interlaced.

And while you are there set half resolution as you will hardly notice the difference whilst editing and it will not affect the output file resolution. Also tick the two empty boxes in the "Arranger" section.

about the cuda option being disabled

Magix told me this..

"If your laptop has Optimus technology which comes with the Geforce M cards, then hardware acceleration is not compatible with our software. You will need to see if there is a way to completely disable the on board Intel graphics card on the machine. If you cannot disable, then unfortunately your dedicated graphics card will not be available to the software.

This is a hardware incompatibility and is not scheduled to be changed in the software, sorry. "

Found out the problem.. Magic was using the intel HD graphics 4000 and not my Nividia card.. i went to Nivida settings and set Magic software to use Nviida and not intel.

and no more skipping on HALF Resolution.. and only 40 percent CPU power

i still can't use FULL resolution.. that still skipps sometimes and 99 CPU Power but half resolution still is pretty clear and doesn't skip.

I tried doing that through Device Manager.. by clicking Disable on Intel HD Graphics.. but then my computer turns all black screen. and when i manually reboot my computer. the display is very big.. and tells me i don't have Nvidia Installed. just weird

Hmm......That was going to be my next question as to whether you had looked for some sort of switch to turn off the integrated graphics..... but looks like you found an option to at least make magix use the Nvidia GPU. I guess that was in "Manage 3D settings> Program settings >Videodeluxe.exe > Cuda GPUS. Useful to know that.

As far as disabling the Intel graphics is there nowhere in the windows settings that allow you to choose. My guess would be there might be something in Bios that would do it but I could not tell you where, not having a machine with an iGPU and discreet GPU.

Are both GPU'S showing activity (load) on playback now ..........and can you now use Cuda, Open GL or Quicksync when exporting MPEG4 H264?

Cuda option is still disabled.. Magix said its cause the software doesn't support video cards that have this new

Optimum Technology on nvidia cards.., so no way around that

and i see sensors moving on GPU app.

Another weird issue.. Some effects. that i use.. starting to skip the video again. when i press play.. but by CPU is low.. only 25 percent.. only way to fix that issue is if i change resolution. to Lowest quality

Some effects will cause skipping regardless because they are not designed to use GPU acceleration.

If you go to Nvidia's site there is a white paper about the Optimus Technology from which I have taken the following:

"Another keystone of NVIDIA‟s Optimus technology is the ability to use a list of GPU-powered applications, each with its own unique Optimus Profile. NVIDIA has profiled applications based on whether the GPU can add quality, performance, lower power, or functionality. In doing so, Optimus is able to avoid powering up the GPU unless it is necessary.
Before an application has an Optimus Profile, NVIDIA runs the application through a series of verification and validation processes to ensure the highest quality and experience. Once validated, the updated Profiles are hosted on an NVIDIA web server and then automatically pushed out to the end user. Should the user not want automatic updates, they can disable this feature within the NVIDIA Control Panel.
As new applications and games are introduced in the market they may not have an Optimus Profile preinstalled, so NVIDIA has created a unique solution-- an NVIDIA-hosted Web server will push updated Optimus Profiles to the end user. Maybe Magix just needs to submit their program to Nvidia for them to create a profile which you can load.

Also maybe the last paragraph is referring to what you have just done to get the 670M going?

It's worth reading the whole paper - it also mentions that the iGPU is doing basic stuff as a display controller even when the discreet card is performing rendering so that may be why you cannot disable it completely.
