Hi there,

Importing DVD material into Movie Edit Pro is generally possible, but only if it's not copy-protected. Make sure you have your MPEG-2 codec and Dolby Digital Stereo decoder activated, too. The import itself is pretty simple: Just put the video DVD into your disc drive and browse its contents in your the medial pool of Movie Edit Pro 14. You will find a directory called "VIDEO_TS" that you need to go into. The VOB files in there contain the actual video and audio data. Just drag & drop them down into Movie Edit Pro's timeline to import. The program will offer you the option to import the entire disc or just that individual file. Some of the VOB files are not relevant as they only contain menu information and cannot be properly imported/used in the program (the ones with "0" is the second number in the file name).

I think this might be enough to help you getting started.  :-)
