Help me get AVI videos to work in Magix.

So my friend recorded a bunch of video game cutscenes for me from his Nintendo Wii, and I've tried plugging them into Magix.  They load as pure green screens with no sound.  Then I tried plugging in some other AVI videos I've downloaded, and Magix just refuses to read them.  These video game cutscenes use H.264 as their video codec, while the downloaded videos use MPEG-1.  I have these and their respective sound codecs installed on my system, according to the GSpot program I've seen recommended here.  I've reinstalled a few times and tried to upgrade the program, but it keeps saying it can't find it on my system, so any solution that might have introduced is null and void.

I'll keep looking around on my own, but I'll be willing to provide any more info if needed.  I want to solve this problem as soon as possible.

Did you try a converter? Look for avi converter freeware in the internet. There you will find useful software to solve the problem.

I've used SUPER in several different configurations.  The video game cutscenes play without sound when I convert them to an AVI with MPEG-4 for their video and mp3 for their sound.  I'd rather get the videos I have now to work, though.
