Hardware acceleration and AMD

My export from Photostory deluxe 2023 crashes part of the way through when using hardware acceleration. Photostory will restart and I get an AMD video driver error. Using software only completes but is of course much slower. I have an AMD CPU 5900x and RX6800GT VGU. Is this an incompatibility with AMD....i.e. only Intel is supported? I know Adobe Premiere Pro only supported AMD hardware acceleration in the last couple of releases.

Hi

. . . . RX6800GT VGU . . . .

Do you mean the AMD RX 6800 XT - there is no GT version AFAICS?

. . . . Photostory will restart and I get an AMD video driver error. . . .

Are the drivers from the AMD website (not the Windows installed versions) and up to date?

Hardware acceleration may used for exports to MP4/AVCHD encoded in h.264/AVC and HEVC h.265 encoding, other video formats/codecs are encoded using the CPU as are some effects and images.

In the Program Settings, Device options tab is the Video mode set to the 6800?

Yes....XT.

AMD drivers 22.5.1 which is the latest.

Export was HEVC 1080p 25fps using best quality.

Yes Video mode set to the 6800
