Files not found when opening arrangements in MMM17

Elden wrote on 2/8/2011, 6:25 PM

I am new to this program and don't know it well, but I have made an arrangement with some MP3 files. When I try to open the arrangement that I recently completed in MMM17 I get a pop-up box stating that it can't find the files, even though they are in the folder that the program is looking in. I can load them individually when prompted, but that is a hassle in an arrangement with more than 3 MP3s used as sound objects. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

If you are new to this program do not worry, you can ask question here or with Magix support.

I am giving you example with Music Maker 16 Premium and hope same will apply with your version.

Follow screen shot.

Usually Music Maker save backup files automatically. Click File/Load arrangement.

look at right bottom, choose All files, if you know the name of your saved project you will find a file with your file name and BAK. Load this file. It is Backup file. After loading if you found it correct please re-SAVE next time you can easily open saved project.

If need help send message.

Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for details. It is strange if you could not open Bak files too.

Do you know if in your MMM 17 version you have to activate or buy extra license for using MP3?

Those HD and HO files are included when we use Maigx Music Maker. I had asked about it with Magix support and their answer is, Do not worry those files are not larger. So, when they appear in my data I close my eyes.

You have mentioned you are using MMM 17 are you using Windows 7 too? Did you update your MMM 17

Regarding re installing that is good idea only if you also delete any left over files of Magix. First uninstall MMM 17 then go to Program folder of MMM 17 and if you find any delete that. Though other files could be in User Public Data/Program Data of MMM 17. After that install software. OR before you proceed, updated MMM 17 and see.

Did you also ask help with Magix support if not you should ask them too through website.

Thank you

nihon9

Hi,

In a first step, try to delete the H0 and HDP files associated with your mp3's, they will be recreated by MMM. If it does not solve the problem,

In a second step, go in the directory defined in the program parameters (shortcut "Y"), last screen, second line "import".

Delete all the files in this directory, MMM will create them again if needed. Sometimes it solves this kind of problem.
