Fastcut locks up with message saying 'sorting list... 100%'

Magix Fastcut v3.0.1.93

Computer: Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
- 16327 MB RAM

- 1 TB drive with 854mb free

When I run Fastcut on the above computer, the program freezes with a message saying 'sorting list... 100%'.

I've tried using 'update online' from the help menu but it says no updates available.

I have another computer, same configuration, and it shows FastCut v.3.0.3.111. No problems with that version. How do I force an update on the computer with the Fastcut problem?
