@Peggy-Andreoli

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

To what format are you exporting your PS project and, very importantly, what format(s) is your TV able to play from a USB stick?

Unfortunately, I would suspect you are exporting your project to a format your TV does not accept. Hence my questions.

Hi

The most common formats Smart TV's accept are either h.264 MP4 or h.264 AVCHD (.m2ts) encoded video, Photostory is capable of exporting to both formats.

If in doubt consult your TV's manual to see which format(s) and resolutions it will accept and use the appropriate export format/encoding preset

Do not change any of the export presets - doing so can produce poor quality or unplayable video.

I don't see the above suggestions listed, the format below are what I have to choose from

my computer - which I used and was unsuccessful - choices were MPEG4 or windows media video

my device - which seems to be for a phone

online - YouTube only choice

What @johnebaker was asking for, and what you really do need to find out, is what format(s) does your Smart TV require/expect? What you list is what PS offers but you need to ensure that the exported slideshow is in a format that your TV can read; hence the need for that, quite specific information.

It is quite likely to be some "version" of MPEG4 (as John indicated). But because MPEG4, aka mp4, is actually a "container" format (i.e. it can use and require a variety of different codecs for both recording and playback), that is why the information for your TV is so important, to ensure the file exported from PS uses the codecs your TV expects.
