If it exceeds approximately 2 hrs then the movie is too long to fit on the disc.

Did you get a warning that the movie was too big to fit on the disc - if so what did you do?

Has anything change on your computer or the discs you are using?

The project contains 500 photos with captions, transitions and background music and lasts 56 minutes and 58 seconds. After refusing to burn the DVD I burned the disc image and again I got the error "Size of object set exceeds limit of 1048574 KB". The solution I adopted was to take a well-known burning program and load the disc image files and burn them. Everything is perfect, no interruptions during burning and the DVD works perfectly. I wonder why Photostory DL 2020 doesn't burn, as it always has? At the same time I did another project, shorter than this one, and everything turned out perfect. I assume this was using the Image recorder option of the burn dialog.

That would suggest the issue is in the burn module of Photostory - I recommend you raise a support ticket through the Support link at the top of the page, however read this guide on how to navigate the Support system.
