Hi

. . . . The "fix" provided by Magix won't work for this error. . .

What fix is that ?

. . . . Drivers are all up to date . . . .

Are the Intel drivers provided by Microsoft or Intel - see the comments by Intel here.

Please read this post before posting and come back with more information.

Which fix? Sorry, seems a silly question but if you are referring to the fix which was posted to the forum by a member of Magix staff quite some time ago, it has been updated more recently.

I can vouch for the fact that the latest version of the "fix" does work because I had exactly the same problem/error message and on my computer VSCL is now fixed.

I think you need to raise a support ticket at http://support.magix.com I'm pretty certain that's what I had to do to be sent the correct fix.

I went to support and in the popup for this issue it provided a zip download. That exe claims I do not have a program that the fix works for. It does not work.

I've already found that thread on Google and the download is not compatible with my system.

Thank you for the reminder! That is exactly what I did at first, with the same result as you, no change.

That's why I would strongly urge you to open a support ticket; in response to my ticket support sent me an updated copy of the fix.

Alright. I already sent a request in general, but their support wouldn't allow me to include the error message. It kept shaking the "solution" on my screen and would not allow "next" to be pressed.

Hi Brandon,

This was a while ago, and I understand you've been in contact with support. So, I should hope there was already a resolution of some sort. Just to shed a little more light on this again: The first version of the fix didn't include the Video Sound Cleaning Lab product line yet. This version does:

Hello,

The "can't find the name of Intel ICD OpenGL driver" problem has reappeared.

I bought MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab in September (to replace an older version) and fixed the OpenGL problem using the problem using the Qt_fixer_CL download from the 251629 download location referenced in this thread. Last week, Audio Cleaning Lab prompted me to update the program, which I did.

Now the OpenGL problem has reappeared when I try to run the updated Audio Cleaner.

Also, the Qt_fixer_CL no longer works, but gives me the error "Expired! Please contact MAGIX Support ... and report the details of your problem.

What is MAGIX's recommended solution now that my copy of Audio Cleaning Lab has been updated?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

It's expected that the problem would show up again after installing a patch, since this reverts the settings changed by the fix back to the default values. The fix has been updated in the meantime. If you're still getting the expired copy from the posted link, this might just be due to your web browser pulling an old version from its cached data. Please try again after clearing out your browser cache.

https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/download_do/251629

That said, you might also want to consider tackling the problem at its roots, instead of working around it. We have recently had an increasing number of reports from customers using Intel on-board graphics hardware that suggested that there's now a functional driver update from Intel that will make up for the insufficient OpenGL support causing this issue. So, if that's the hardware you're running this on, maybe that's something to look into, since the benefits of such a driver update on your machine would obviously go beyond just using MAGIX software.

Good luck!

Thanks, ralftaro. My problem seems to have been the browser cache.

I have the most recent Intel driver, which hasn't fixed the root cause, but I'll keep looking for Intel updates.

Thanks again.

Sorry, but this might be a misunderstanding. The problem and solution discussed in this thread pertain to the Cleaning Lab product line - not Music Maker. How did you come to the conclusion that the problem you're experiencing with Music Maker are in any way related to Qt and OpenGL support? This might not be the case with your particular problem at all.

Either way, this is the wrong forum/thread of this problem, and way more detailed information would be required to help. My recommendation would be to either re-post this in the Music Maker forum and add more information, or to contact MAGIX technical support directly:

Perdón me equivoqué, pero buscando problemas de magix music maker con OpenGl me trajo hasta aquí. .. si tengo la captura de pantalla con el error de OPENGL en Magix Music Maker... Gracias ! Y perdón

ralftaro wrote on 8/21/2018, 9:34 AM

Ok, thanks for the clarification. So, if you are indeed having a similar problem in Music Maker that may also be related to Qt, here are my suggestions:

1.) Check the version you're currently running in the "About" dialogue, which you can bring up via the "Help" menu. If you're using generation 25.x of Music Maker, upgrade your software to generation 27.x via the appropriate option in the "Help" menu, or by using the following direct link for the installer:

http://dl03.magix.net/musicmaker.exe

This update will be free for you. Make sure to log back into the in-app system after the update to be able to access any in-app purchases you may already own under your account. If you're using an older generation of Music Maker (i.e. 24.x and older), you may also want to use the link above to get the most recent versions of the program. You can then redeem your older version's serial number (going back to generation MX/18) in the "Activate Edition" dialogue of this current version to unlock features and instruments from your older version. (It will credit those items to your MAGIX user account under the new in-app store system.)

2.) If, for whatever reason, you want to stay on an older Music Maker version you're currently running, please run the following fix to switch it into the more compatible rendering mode:

https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/download_do/294659

I hope this helps! For any problem beyond that, please get in touch with MAGIX tech support and provide all relevant details. We're offering tech support in Spanish language as well.

Saracatunga wrote on 8/21/2018, 11:29 AM

Thanks! But my version is free... y buy a lot of soundpools in the store... I lost the Music Maker... and i lost the lot of soundpools ...

ralftaro wrote on 8/22/2018, 2:42 AM

Sorry, but I'm not completely sure how this relates to the problem above. Am I correct to assume that you can now successfully start and access the program? So, the solution above helped to resolve the original problem?

If you have problems accessing any in-app store content you purchased before, please make sure to log back into the store with the correct MAGIX user account. Especially if you did perform the big update from generation 25.x to 27.x, or a fresh installation of version 27.x, this would have logged you out from the store system.

For any further problems Music Maker, please start a new thread in the Music Maker forum or contact MAGIX support directly. Thanks!

Saracatunga wrote on 8/22/2018, 1:36 PM
