Can someone say what might be my problem with xp pro, as far as "installer service could be accessed". I'm finally getting xp pro setup as dual boot over xp. Also, ran my sp3 CD. It has seemed to me permissions seemed a bit restrictive ? If I can get a pro install, I can move my Magix stuff and finally get my dual xenon power - which isn't much

Sounds like the installer service software needs updating - however it is very doubtful you will get the required service pack now - XP was retired earlier this year and there is no more support, service packs or updates available except from third party sites which may be of dubious authenticity.

By now you should be running at least Windows 7

It is not a matter of the requirements of SMS 2014.
It is the operating system you wish to install that is the issue - as I previously posted it is now retired there is no more support, service packs or updates available.
