Edit Z-INDEX? without going into the page code?

Hi,

Is it possible in the Xara Web Designer 10 Premium to change the "Z-index" of an object?

Why do I ask this? because I need to work with many HTML/CSS placeholders an many of my placeholders are filled with a long HTML/CSS code which contains Z-indexes. It would be a nice to finde an option to be able to change the Z-index to a higher number, so that some objects created in the Web Designer will be on top of the HTML placeholder...

Hi Johnebaker,

Thank you for the replay on my question.
I know the function to move objects forward and backwards I also checked the PDF manual, this function/methode is documented on mutiple pages.

Unfortunatly it is not solving the problem in the Xara Web Designer Premium

If you move an object between layers this will not let you change the z-index or give you an option to edit the real Z-index to 500 or to 9999 ... I dont want to mess around with the code I copyed into the placeholder which containes more than one z-index to be changed to -1. Instead it would be so much usefull to just change the z-index of an image which has to be on top of the HTML placeholder.
In the Xara Web Designer Premium it looks like it is on top, but when you export the page to html an open it with any browser the placeholder is than on top of everything because it containes z-indexes.

What I can do is to open the exported HTML file with Notpad and add a style to the image with z-index to 9000... and this makes no sense for me because it is no more WYSIWYG.

I guess there is no option to do that in Xara Web Designer. This would make the software so much more powerfull. Could it be on the list of new feature request?
