Yes, you have given yourself the answer: Use a DVD+RW (or DVD-RW), and you can burn as many times as you like on the same disk.

To revs again:
I always burn on RW when 'experimenting', and have never had problems with rewriting. Could there be something wrong to your DVD-disks ? Have you tried to burn other files on these disks, and then erased it ?
I do not know any way to make RW-disks 'Read only'. I also use MEP 14+.

Thanks for your swift reply, but in the past i have burned on DVD+RW and when I try to erase or rewrite I get an error message - CANNOT ERASE DISC IS READ ONLY. The question I posted should have been a bit clearer maybe.

How do I burn a DVD+RW without making it a read only DVD when using burn with MEP14 pro?
