DVD Burning Encoding Taking over 26 hours on Photostory Deluxe 2021

I used Magix Photostory on CD and DVD 2005 successfully many times. Recently, it would not accept newly downloaded MP3 songs so I concluded they must now be formatted in a way it could not recognize. I bought Magix Photostory Deluxe 2021. I am burning to DVD a story with 250 pictures and 6 songs. So far, it is still on Cut 1 of 5 after running more than 26 hours. The 2005 program would burn a DVD in less than an hour. Is this broken? I've let it run because I saw an entry from Magix about a large story with lots of pictures could take a day to burn. Some guidance please??? It does not appear to be hung because if I try to end it by hitting CANCEL it warms me that it is still encoding.

So I stopped it and tried again. It seems to stop working with "encoding movie 1 ... 01:10 remaining 0r 01:08 remaining. I tried 4X and 8X on DVD. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Now I tried EXPORT and it hangs with 2 minutes left. Did anyone test this software? Does not appear to be the case.

@Benjamin-Ceballos

Hi

What is your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full and also add the make/model of the disc burner.

What is the total length (runtime) of the slideshow as seen on the timeline?

What make and type of DVD are you recording to?

Does the DVD render/recording proceed correctly if you use the Image recorder option to create an ISO file (a disc image) on your computer?

Hi, thank you so much for looking at this!

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad with Intel i5-3230M @ 2.60 GhZ. Graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 4000. Windows version is Windows 10 Pro V21H1 OS 19043.1110 (updated in the last few weeks).

The project has 232 photos, 7 songs with a runtime of 23 minutes (23:10:01). It shows on bottom left 1.17GB on 4.70 GB DVD. Blank DVDs are brand new Staples DVD-R 120 minutes, 4.7GB, 16X (1X-16X compatible). I've been able to create a DVD on this relative same size project with Photostory 2005 in the past so I thought I was ok on the size.

The software is MAGIX Photostory Deluxe 2021 Version 20.0.1.64 (UDP3) Code UG 8668 KA1 downloaded on Monday.

By Image recorder option, I presume you mean EXPORT which I've tried various options to try to create a MPEG-4 file on my PC (eliminating the DVD Burner) and that hangs the software each time after running for 10 minutes or so. I tried FULL HD and DVD output format and they both hang the program.

Thanks again!

So now I tried to Export as a Windows Media Video. Again it runs for 2 hours and when it gets to 89% and 9 minutes remaining, it hangs.
