Downloading Mini DV to PC. Lenovo H520 Windows 10

I have purchased a PCIe firewire card for the PC Tried it in two slots, but Magix does not 'see' the video with the camera connected on and running. Looked at Bios but no option to 'enable' card slots. Other buyers of this card say it is 'plug and play' in Win 10. Card could be faulty, any suggestions before I return it or try some different software?

@rickardn

Hi

If you did not install 32 bit drivers for the FireWire try doing so, although I suspect that Rescue your Video tapes maynot support FireWire capture.

Try downloading the trial version of Movie Edit Pro and using this to test capture with the FireWire card you have - if you decide to purchase get the Plus or Premium version.
