Does Samplitude 14 work with windows 7??

Losttheplot wrote on 9/24/2010, 12:18 AM

I have recently downloaded Samplitude 14 on my computer, running on windows 7. Once I open it, it says that drivers were dowloaded please reboot, and it has a number #10010. Then it says to put disk back in and try again (disk is already in), so I don't understand whats going on. Anyone have any suggestions?

I do not think Samplitude Music Studio 14 is compatible with Windows 7, but, uninstall and try this.

Insert the disc, browse it for the setup.exe and RIGHT click that, then run as Administrator. Keep the disc in the drive and then reboot the machine after the installation is completed. Find the desktop icon for the Samplitude Music Studio 14 and then RIGHT click that and run as administrator.

If that works, then it just needed admin rights to read the copyright protection of the disc. If that does not work, they are not compatible at all.

See the use of the Windows 7 Compatabilty Wizard at http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Magix-Music-Studio-Software?sku=484928&src=3WPGWXX&ZYXSEM=0 that worked for me to install Samplitude Music Studio 14 on my machine.

YES! Samplitude Music Studio 14 is compatible with Windows 7.  Click on windows icon goto computer, right click on DVD Samplitude icon, select open, then right click on setup icon, select troubleshooting option, (make sure the correct box opens because a different box could open if you click it wrong, it should say troubleshoot) troubleshoot the program, then tell it that the earlier version of Windows..., (next) Windows XP service pack 3 worked, (next) when it starts to install it will go through to just about the end and then it will falsly report incompatibilty issue, just close that box and the program will finish installing and then you can enter your numbers and start the software and use it. It worked for me so try it untill you get it to work.
