Display message during slideshow.

I am using Photostory Deluxe Ver. 18.1.1.28. Is it possible to display a message during a slideshow? I create slideshows for our local soapbox derby and sometimes we display our these at public events and I would like to display information about our chapter while the slideshow is running.

i work on a Windows 10 laptop.

Hi,

What you export from PhotoStory is a video file, like MP4. If you want to include text in the "slideshow" then you insert it as titles within the project before exporting.

I hope that you are not planning to "run" the slideshow by playing back the project from PhotoStory. That is not what it is for; it is not like PowerPoint.

John,

I play it from a memory stick. Do you mean I have to add a title to each photo? I was playing with the title, but I couldn’t figure out how to extend it throughout the slide show. Or, if that was even possible.

Hi

. . . . I couldn’t figure out how to extend it throughout the slide show. . . .

In Timeline mode drag the right end of the title object out to the length you require.

Hi,

Further to what John EB indicated, you can add titles, move them, change the duration, animate them, make them fly around, and much more. You need to read the manual.

You say that you are playing it from a memory stick. What are you playing? An mp4 file?

Yes, I exported my slideshow as an MP4 file.  I tried extend the title across the slideshow, but all I did was move it.  It looks like I was not grabbing the handle when I tried to extend it.  I will try that when I get home tonight.  Thank you, both.

That worked!! I have a lot of photos in my slideshow, so I had to zoom in to see the handles on my title block. But once I did, I was able to stretch the title across the entire show. Once again, thank you very much.
