I have Xara Designer Pro X 18.0.0.61642  DL x64 Mar 18 202. I have windows 10. I have been using Xara products around 15 years and am very pleased with the way I can interact directly with the software; however, this current version has something I'm not pleased with. The bounding box currently being displayed whenever I select an object is not working for me. I prefer the old bounding box with the little squares that mark the corners and center points. Is there a way for me to get back the old bounding box from the older versions of of Xara Designer Pro? Also for informational purposes I am not a professional. I use Xara products strictly for my own satisfaction. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the user to user forum.

Try adding the word Xara to your title . (use the edit button) people may skip over your inquiry thinking you are talking about a Vegas product.

@CubeAce Good point but I read the post as being a problem with Xara Designer Pro X 18.0.0 especially as Manuel asked "Is there a way for me to get back the old bounding box from the older versions of of Xara Designer Pro?"

Maybe I missed something. It wouldn't be the first time 😀

I was hoping John CB would take note and see this as he seems to have had the most experience with Xara out of all the community members here. I'm not sure he visits other areas of the site. I know I tend to stick to the video sections only.

Hi,

See this thread where it was discussed recently. Are you able to use the method that I indicated? Or are you in the same situation as the OP?

I suggest that you join the Talk Graphics forum where everything Xara is discussed. This has been discussed many times and there is a way to permanently turn off the new feature.
