cut off outside boundary images

Hello,

I'm designing entrance tickets in the Designer and I wanted to know if it's possible to export a picture without de image parts outside of the boundaries.

For example, my ticket size is 1400 x 400 px. I have an image that falls partly outside that boundary. When I export the image as JPEG, how can I make sure that only everything inside those 1400 x 400px is exported and that the parts outside the boundary are not? To be clear, I want to keep the parts of the image that are inside the boundary, and cut off anything outside of it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum

. . . . cut off anything outside of it. . . . .

Use the Clip tool

to crop the image as required.

You should have a link to the PDF manual included in the purchase confirmation email - if you have not done so, then I would suggest you download the manual.

Hi,

You can also draw a rectangle or other shape over top of what you want to keep. Then with the rectangle still selected, hold down shift and add the photo to the selection. Then Arrange, Combine Shapes, Intersect shapes or Ctrl+3. You'll be left with just the piece of the photo that was covered by the shape.

Thanks for the help, I that it will come usefull.
But now I have a different problem. I have a simple text object with multiple lines. Yesterday, when I wanted to make the text bigger, I could just select that text object like it was a rectangle and scale it, and the font sizes changed automatically. Now I cannot make the text bigger. It's so annoying as I don't know if I've changed any crucial settings. If I say in the upper bar that the width and height should be changed to my desired distances, then the program should obey. And yes, the scale lock is turned off. Please help tia
