Movie Studio 2024 Platinum and Suite are currently on sale for Upgrade on the Magix.com site for:

Platinum: 20$ (New 70$)

Suite: 30$ (New 80$)

This is hard to beat. Get it now if you don't already have it, before the price changes.

Perhaps the next version of MMS is coming soon, but still...

Hi,

@browj2

They've already wasted about 2 and a half months making money by calling customers to update to new versions! Now it's time to hope they recover and, above all, change their thinking because otherwise "history always repeats itself!" The products are good, but now they need to fix the annoying MMS/VPX bugs before the new version 2025! Development has to be very agile so that marketing can change and offer common sense and transparency, which are the best ways to regain market share!

Vegas Pro seems to have already announced on its forum that it will update bug fixes in April/2024! Users must have already been revived!

Vegas Pro is the "focus" product of Magix, putting the necessary programming resources in development of it. I have no idea how long with will go on or how it affects the other Magix editing software. But the price of MMS is really great. In addition to getting Vitascene V5 Pro with Suite.

I have MEP2022, so maybe I'll take advantage of it. VPX15? Nah.

On the other hand Vegas Pro has not changed its prices! I think they are still dreaming!

I'll try to make contact with VPX and if they say they'll fix at least 3 annoying bugs, I'll update by March 26th!

@Roberto-Goncalves

Hi,

Which 3 bugs?

I would like:

  • The source trim to Project Temp Folder fixed.
  • Edit Wave Externally to open Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab with the wave file, and no error message.

@browj2

If your reported bugs 061 and 059 were fixed then all that remains is the insufficient memory bug when the player is activated after closing a project and opening a new one according to this post
http://

described in the fourth comment. This bug was confirmed by Magix in a ticket dated 01/2024 and they responded that they would correct it in due course.

@Roberto-Goncalves

Hi,

We go a bit off-track here by going into VPX, as this thread is about Movie Studio.

Bug 061 is still a problem.

Bug 059/59A - has been resolved with VPX15.

Bug 057 is the problem with Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab.

I see that @johnebaker has responded to your linked message with some questions.
