@Stan-Yarrish

If you simply copy the Photostory (project) file to a memory stick and thence to a laptop then yes, you will need Photostory and all your slides, audio etc, on the laptop, in exactly the same locations as your desktop in order to be able to play the file. (Just to explain a little more; the Photostory project file contains no images, audio or anything other than a reference to where those images or audio are currently stored on your desktop computer. If you simply copy the project file it will not work!)

Rather, you should export your project from your desktop as an .mp4 file, in whatever resolution you wish. Then, copy that file to your memory stick and then to your laptop; any installed video playing software should then play your file.

OK I went to the File drop down menu and looked for mp.4 . I don't see that exact extension. Is it the same MPEG?? I tried both of these and it doesn't seem to create a file that I can open on my windows 8.1 desktop.

Getting frustrated working with this program. I may have to scrap the the project which I wanted to show on Sunday. The file contains over 200 photos. Also when I saved the final file a few days ago. now I can't find it anywhere. The file I found cut off about 25 photos!

Hi

. . . . I don't see that exact extension . . .

From the File menu, select Export movie, Video as MPEG-4.

In the export dialog that opens click the top dropdown - you can now select which the export option you need.

If you want to see all the available options click the Display all option before clicking the dropdown.

. . . . The file contains over 200 photos. Also when I saved the final file a few days ago. now I can't find it anywhere. The file I found cut off about 25 photos! . . . .

Were all the files in the same folder on the PC?

Did you get any message popup when the images were being loaded.

Have you checked for auto saved backup files - File, Open automatically saved project?
