Copy and paste video

I am just starting to learn to use Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus. So, I have a very basic question. I want to place a video clip on my web site. I have been able to input into Magix some video from a DVD. Also, I have been able place the in-point and out-point at the beginning and the end of the segment of video that I want to put onto my web site. My question is: How do I copy the video of interest and place it into a new file?

I think you need to export the video into the format you want for your website, possibly wmv or quicktime.

First you make sure you have your start and end markers, you then go to the menu for FILE, then export the movie as... and you choose the format. I would probably choose wmv, but that is a personal preference.

In the export dialog that opens you choose the size resolution and codec if you want something special, but near the bottom, there is an area for "Other" and in there you find a selection for "Only export selected range".

Using that will allow you to export just the section you have marked.
