Was wondering which one of your products offers good Conversion from SD to HD? A reliable easy platform that would enlarge the correct ratio to convert vintage SD film (digitized of course) to HD 1080 dpi? Thanks
Please remember this is a user-to-user forum, not a link to Magix support. Magix staff do occasionally read and post here but an "official" reply is NOT guaranteed!
Speaking personally, I know of no Magix product that can up-scale video files. What you are wanting is a software that is able to, essentially, add "correct and relevant" pixels in order to increase the resolution of the footage. That is a pretty tall order!
There is one app that is now free to download that can offer some degree of quality when up-scaling video footage. I have it and have used it but you should not expect to see anything like full HD footage from any SD original. The relevant web page is here.
I see from Google that MovAvi also offer some type of Video Enhancer within their Video Editor product. I have and use MovAvi Video Convertor, which I like, but have no experience of the Editor package.
Thanks for the Link!🙂 "That is a pretty tall order!" < Not exactly - There are dozens of versions of conversion software out there but the inexpensive ones are not very good at all. I do understand the most common approach is to simply preserve the limited Pixels relevant to SD and simply allow them to be enlarged thereby providing a larger picture of the same Pixel arrangement. The better quality conversions are probably quite expensive. Thank You
