Hi John.

I'm afraid Movie Edit Premium Pro 16.01.22 is not listed as being compatible with Windows 10. Only compatible up to Windows 7.

Even if you upgrade to the present program it would be best to check your computers compatibility hardware wise first.

You could try running the program in Windows compatibility mode but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Sorry.

Ray.

Hi

. . . . Movie Edit Premium Pro 16.01.22 . . . .

This a Movie Edit Pro 2017 which does work correctly on Windows 10, however there are 3 major patches missing, the last being 16.0.4.119.

Try updating the program online - Help, Update online

. . . . after editing video clips the content disappears, so when I have finished editing all the clips for the project I return to assemble them and some, not all, clips no longer have any content. . . . .

Do you mean the small images on the clips have disappeared or the preview is blank on some of the clips?

@CubeAce

I have MEP versions 2015 onwards installed on Windows 10 2004 and they all work correctly.

Hi,

All the video and sound has gone from the clips. With some of them the thumbnail pictures are gone, but with others the thumbnails are still there.

Thanks

Hi

Try the following:

Reset the program to its default settings - File, Settings, Reset program to default. . . then close MEP.

Using Windows File Explorer, browse to the folder containing the video and images and move the following to a temporary folder - you may need to show the file extensions in Windows File Explorer

  1. for video those with .H0 and .HDP extension and the mxfilerelatedcache.mxc2

  2. for images move the mxfilerelatedcache.mxc2

The above are temporary files created by MEP and will be recreated.

Start MEP and try loading the project again.

Expand the view and look at the clip before the one that does not show. Sometimes I will clip a frame or couple of frames off the end of a clip and then forget to delete them. And then when I try to drag a longer clip to overlap with the previous one - the clip disappears because it gets "devoured" by the much smaller leftover remnant.

@Former user

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please do not resurrect old topics such as this one, which is over 3 years old.

The lack of response from the OP, after the post directly above your comment, would suggest the original issue was fixed.
