Hi. Silvia and welcome to the user to user forums.

It would seem it is still difficult for you to contact Magix.

This is purely a user forum and there are no Magix staff here.

It is also useful to say which program and version you are asking about.

In the mean time, did you look here?

Ray.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, so not a contact for any Magix staff. "We" (fellow-users) are always available via this forum!

If your computer does not have a CD or DVD drive I think you have two possible options:

  1. Buy an external DVD-Rewriter, connected to your computer via USB, and use that to install your software. It also gives you the added bonus that you will be able to burn your exports from the program to DVD, and these drives are now very cheap!
  2. Use another computer with a CD/DVD drive to copy ALL the contents of the disc to a memory stick/pendrive. Insert that pendrive to your computer where you want the software actually installed and run the set-up from that.

HTH

Hi Silvia.

Unfortunately no I don't. Normally a serial number is on the sleeve of the CD.

If it is not there I have no idea what you can do.

Ray.

@silviakhochaba

You started the thread by asking what you should do to install Rescue Your Videotapes (@CubeAce the product is selected in the thread heading) because your computer does not have a CD/DVD player but now you are saying you do not have the serial number. So, do you now have something to play the CD/DVD, so that problem is now resolved?

The missing serial number is, as Ray says, a different problem that no-one here can help you with. Where did you purchase the program? Is it new, or second-hand? You need to ask whoever you purchased it from why the serial number is missing. No-one, not even Magix staff, can help help you if you do not have this number.

Hi!

now I have installed the program but I’m at the stage to import. The problem is it can’t find my VHS it only finds my web cam. I have connected it all correct. I’m having the magix video saver 8th edition.
