Hi,

I don't have Movie Edit Touch and I'm not sure what you're doing. In Movie Edit Pro, if you move media from the computer it also goes to the Timeline. That is how it's done if you don't use the Media Pool. Just drag and drop from Windows Explorer.

There is no need to move any files to the program. The Media Pool is just a built-in version of Windows Explorer. In the Media Pool import part, you navigate to the folder where your files are located, and then import from there.
