Chord changes

Hello. I'm not a musician, so I bought MMM to help me make music, but now I have a problem. I have to make something for someone, but they require the track to go from E at the end of the last verse to go to E7th for two bars as a buildup to the chorus, but MMM does not seem to be able to do an E7th. How do I do this?

Thank you.

@zadiac You can try to split the loop object at the beginning of its individual notes and then pitchshift the small note objects manually.

You should also be able to change note pitches via the Vocal Tune effect, which also works on non-vocal audio.

A more powerful option could be a free plug-in like Big Fish Audio Momentum. This tool can load audio loops and manipulate them with a lot of different effects, including pitch manipulation.

But be aware, both these procedures can only change everything, so you can't pitch a single note of a chord where multiple chords notes are playing at the same time. For this, there are specialized tools like RipX or Melodyne, which aren't cheap, but there are free demo versions available, so you can use them for some weeks without buying them.

@zadiac

Hi

. . . . I'm not a musician . . . I have to make something for someone . . . .

Please be aware that if you are using Soundpool loops, those that come with Music Maker, and any you have purchased with a 'standard' licence are for non-commercial, personal use only.

If you are being paid for this, and/or the end user is going to use your creation in a commercial manner, ie receive payment in any form for the content which includes your creation, you will need to have Commercial licences for every Soundpool you have used.

The full terms and conditions of use are here on Producer Planet, I would advise you to read them, there are several pitfalls you may inadvertently encounter.

Producer Planet is Magix's online 'retail outlet' for media associated with Magix programs.

I'm not doing i commercially. I know the rules. I'm doing it for someone who is going to sing at a family wedding. I literally said in my OP that I'm not a musician and that I'm just making something for someone. I'm not getting paid.

I think Melodyne is the way to go with this. Thanks.
