*chopping sound with video

kachan64 wrote on 8/20/2015, 10:58 PM

I recently brought MyGica Video Capture Box hoping that I could capture some clips from my 360. Before I use to use Windiws Live Movie Maker but was so limited to what you can do so I switched to Video Pro X.

But the problem is when ever I drag the mp4 file the capture card captures, Video Pro X would just be playing some kinda of chopping 8 bit sound or something, not from the file imported mp4 itself.

I didn't have that problm when I played the video in Windows Media Player or Windiws Live Movie Maker. I read the manul and it says the following:

And I attched a sample video

Hi

The link you provide does not appear to work.

The above clip sounds like the capture box has not captured any sound - only interference - this is typical if you are using any of the phono inputs on the device and the audio lead(s) from the X Box to the device are not plugged in correctly.

If you use the HDMI input can you hear the sound on a TV that is plugged into the HDMI out of the capture device?

What is your computer specification and Windows version ?

Can you post a sample of the captured video to somewhere like Dropbox for us to download - do not use Youtube, this site, or any other similar video sharing site - they convert the video which is not what we do not want.

Yeah, the 360 is connected via hdmi to the interface's input and output via hdmi to the tv and i can hear sounds fine through my speaker system. it also captures sounds, you will see from the sample anyway.

i'm running windows 10 64bit.

Hi

Thanks for the video clip.

MediaInfo tells me there is nothing odd with the video and audio codecs used, ie the mp4 is to standard.

It imports OK into MEP 2015 and VPX 4 - I do not have VPX 6 or 7 (I assume you have one of these versions ).

Perhaps John CB or Wabu can test this with theirs.

. . . . i'm running windows 10 64bit. . . . .

Was this an upgrade from Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 ?  Are you experiencing any other 'strange' issues with other programs?

Hmm strange. k

I use Video Pro X6 by the way and I upgraded my computer from 8.1. Didn't happen to me on 8.1 with X6 installed.

All other programs works fine here. Yeah also I checked program settings, and it pointing to my audio driver, wouldn't see why won't working properly.

k, I'll wait and see if John CB or Wabu can test this as well.

Hi,

For me it will be a couple of days. Still camping in the wilds of Ontario, but the cell phone works.

Hi,

I tested your clip in VPX6 version 13.0.6.21 and the sound works fine, not at all like the sample that you posted. But, I am using Win 7.

Check your version of VPX6. There is now a vesion 13.0.6.22 available, so you should update to it and then let us know if it helps.
