Cannot import ANY Widgets

Hello,

I just upgraded my Web Designer Pro on January 14, 2023. I was able to import different widgets last weekend, now I can't do anything. I need to finish my e-commerce site and I can't even import the Paypal widget for programming. Is there a patch? A download? Anything to get me going again, without having to dish out more cash? Please advise.

Was there any error message? If so what was the full message - a screenshot would help.

There appeared to be an issue this afternoon with the Online Catalogue for a short while, it is working as I type this.

What changed on the computer from last week eg was there a Windows update installed?

I would suggest once you have access to the Online Catalog again you download all the Catalogue content to your Local content gallery - the option is at the top of the Online gallery pane.

Hi,

Getting access to the online catalogue is hit and miss for me. I and others have complained to Magix/Xara but the problem has not been fixed. It seems to be a timeout error. You just have to keep trying until you get in. Today I got in first try but I have had to make up to 10 tries using the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+K.

Hi John EB,

I have tried the Download All in the recent past and again today. It doesn't work anymore. For testing, I used tables. I have 17 in my Local Design Gallery, but there are 22. I tried Download all twice to no avail.

Using XDPX19.0.1.65946.

I tried to access the online catalog and received this error message:

504|jsonfolders.php|20230118:2023

It won't even load the options column on the left of the screen. Ideas? Solutions?

Hi,

Keep trying:

Ctrl+Alt+Shift+K

If it doesn't come up almost immediately, close the window and try again. It will eventually come up.

Then raise a ticket with Magix and tell them that it doesn't work properly. They need to be reminded - often.

Confirmed monitoring the network activity when importing an online widget shows no data being sent/received.

However I did eventually get the Ecwid component for e-commerce added (???), this was missing from my Local gallery and it took ages to download measured in single figure B/s

Hi John EB,

I tried getting into the Online Content Catalog (OCC) this morning. It took 4 tries. I finally got around to programming the shortcut into my ShuttlePro. Now, it will probably work the first time every time just to spite me.

I tried Download All on the Tables again. Nothing happened. Time to raise a ticket about that and a reminder that Xara does not work properly with the video editors.

Version 20 should be out soon, according to a user on the TG forum. It has been almost a year since version 19 came out.

Hello All,

I still am unable to import any of the widgets. I have been communicating with a person over at Xara to see if they can assist on their end. I have tried the work around to access the widgets, which works, but it still won't let me import any widgets without coughing up more money...which is a hard no.

John CB states that one has to download OCC from the tables. I do not see any option to download this catalog. Where is this option located?

Losing patience and faith in this system, especially because Tech Support is only available for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday. I really enjoy this platform, but issues of this magnitude need to be addressed and fixed.

Any other suggestions to override the issues? I am all ears.
