Hi there,

If you look at the built-in video effects of Movie Edit Pro and the art filters section, you will find erosion and dilate. Turn those up a little and you might get a bit of the look you're trying to achieve. You'll get much better results by using a suitable external plug-in, though. Since the "Plus" version of Movie Edit Pro 14 and 15 can accept VirtualDub plug-ins, that might be something to look for. There are literally tons of (free) VirtualDub plug-ins out there, some of the pretty high quality. Here's a cartoonizer plug-in that looks pretty promising, albeit I've not used it with Movie Edit Pro yet:

http://www.compression.ru/video/cartoonizer/index_en.html

Install the file on your system (meaning you will probably just have to copy the *.VDF file to some directory where you store your plug-ins), and find it in the video effects/plug-ins section in the mediapool of Movie Edit Pro to add the effect to your plug-in and configure it.

I hope this helps!

Hi again,

The ZIP file contains the actual plug-in file with the file extension *.VDF. You need to unpack that and save it to some location on your hard drive. Then you need to go into the video plug-ins section in Movie Edit Pro, where you will find an option under the "Advanced" button to add file paths for plug-ins. Make it point to the directory with the VDF file on your hard drive and it will be scanned and added to your list of usable plug-ins. Select it and press "Instert plug-in".

I hope this helps!

Hi,

I am still desperately trying to use this plugin. How did you or anyone else stop it from crashing immadiately?

Thx a lot
