Can you input pictures and music?

I am trying to create a slide show to music. I have downloaded pictures and have them in the program but am having a hard time laying the music down so it will play in the background while the pictures roll. Is there a trick to this?

The key would be to switch to timeline edit mode (lower left hand corner, click the bottom of the three buttons). This way, you can see all the tracks in your project, including the audio track and move the songs around accordingly.

Unless you mean your are having difficulty simply importing the files - if that's the case, what file type are you trying to import and what's the source?
