Can't type in serial number

I'm using Windows 7, I loaded the Family Movie Creator software just fine, when I try to enter the serial number it won't let me type any characters into the block...letters, numbers, nothing...I've tried rebooting and reloading the software. The cursor blinks in the block and when I type a number it shows for a half a second but does not allow me to load the serial number.

Hi Reddog:

Have you tried the copy/paste method? That is, open up a blank text box, type in the serial code, highlight and copy the serial code and then paste that code into the space using the CTRL + V keys. Over the years, I've experienced similar problems inputting serial code data into some applications.

I believe I had the same problem. Could be because I tried to install the program too many times. I contacted MAGIX and I believe they reset my options.
