Hi

We need more information:

  1. Computer specification

  2. Windows version and whether 32 or 64 bit

  3. If Windows 10, was this an upgrade from 7, 8, 8.1 or a clean install and was VPX 7 installed before the upgrade?

  4. Video source eg camera (give make / model), screen capture, etc and resolution

Come back with these items and we may be able to help you.

John EB

Hi

If this is the first time you are trying to import footage, then it seems to be the same problem that I had, you need to activate the mpg4 codec, (the intel one should be enough, no need for the MainConcept Mpg4 codec). I got the same cryptic message myself just becuase I couldn't activate the intel mpg4 codec, even though it is included in the price. (It works now)

64

Windows8.1

It does import MP4 from all my cameras, but no MP4 from video's that were copied from Youtube using the YTD downloader and I am pretty sure that MEP 2015 did that flawless. Now using X7 (which is not so fast as MEP2015)

If you still have MEP 2015 installed can you import one of the videos that VPX 7 cannot?

Can you analyse one of the mp4's that will not import with MediaInfo and post the results from the Tree view of MediaInfo

HTH
