Can't import/export svg files

Katherine-Charles wrote on 5/21/2022, 7:56 PM

I have just update to version 19.

The export menu no longer includes an svg option.

Nor can I import svg files from the Content Catalogue or my own files.

This was never a problem with version 18. A solution is urgent so I can continue creating files to upload to my Cricut machine.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Ticket#removed by Moderator. I have the exact same issue.

.svg Import/export worked great in v 18. After upgrade to v19, Xara will not open an .svg file. The option does not show up in the Export or Import menu, though it is listed in the Import section in FileFormats.xml. I found an article that suggested I, running as administrator, uninstall, then reinstall v19, then running v19 as administrator, but did not resolve my issue.

This issue is urgent for me also.

Glad it's not just me! My temporary solution was to restart v18, which I still had lurking in my program files. I'll use v19 but switch to v18 whenever I need to import/export svg files. Not ideal, but it will do until the bug can be fixed. I hope this helps you too, Stephen

Well, I do still have the installation files for 18, so not ideal, but doable. Thank you!!!

Hi

. . . . the combination of my name and a Magix support ticket number do not constitute sensitive (personal) data. . . .

The connection with your username was never made.

The statement ticket numbers, or any other confidential/personal information are 2 separate items, the comma indicating this is a list - there is no mention of your user name.

Confidential/personal information includes: order numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, contact details, which users often post and can result in, for example, spamming, unwanted phone calls etc.

I do not need grammar lessons.

You said, "please do not post ticket numbers, or any othe confidential/personal information in the forum."
Assuming othe is a typo of other, you are implying that a ticket number, by itself, is confidential/personal information.

You can require that I do not post support ticket numbers and I will abide, but do not tell me that a ticket number by itself (especially), or even in combination with my name make up sensitive data.
