Can't get audio...

I just purchased a Tascam interface (US-122mkII USB 2.0) so that I can easily input cords n cables, and also so that I can control a simple signal a bit better.  I went through what Music Maker 17 Premium asks to do to identify it as a driver, and my very new Windows 7 PC's info on whether I installed it correctly says it's go.  However, when I start to record either via MIDI or just straightway (analogically --sheesh, is that even a word?) , the dialogue box that appears shows no signal being delivered --the volume level bars are dead.  Help on what I'm doin' wrong, puhleeeze!   ;0)

"analogically --sheesh, is that even a word?"

It is now!

It sounds like your Tascam is still not set up as the recording device in Windows and as the MIDI recording device in MMM Program settings.

If you are also driving your speakers/monitors with it, it must be the audio output device as well.

If you are sending MIDI to another device, it must be the MIDI output device also.
