When I go into the folder Movie edit pro premium, to view the previously saved projects, most of them are now saved with an mv file, which when you click on it, it says which app to open it with, and you can't open it with an app, so not sure how to bring up a saved project now.

An MVP file is not a video file but an instruction set to tell the Magix program how to put the video files together that you edited ready for exporting to a rendered video file type like MP4 of HEVC. It still needs all your original video files to open a project. Depending on how you make your project the video files must either stay in their original folder so the program can find them to use them or the video files should be saved with the project.

To save as a playable video file you need to render the project to a video file format such as MP4.
Or do you mean something else?

Thanks, its interesting, I do not see the big blue M sign for the Magix saved file anymore, I used to in some of the locations I remember, but I can't seem to locate that.

The M files are HDP files and can be recreated if needed. HDP and H0 files are responsible for creating graphics within the program so you can see things like the wave forms on the tracks for instance. Having them missing doesn't actually harm playback or exporting.
