Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, you need to update your version of the program; the latest is 13.1.1.12. Go to Help>Update online.

Then, make sure you are running in "Advanced Mode". See the screenshot below, which is part of upper right hand side of the main screen. Make sure there is a tick in that box.

Then the left hand panel of that main screen will have more options available, including "Calendar". (Again, see the screenshot).

Hi Jeff, thank you for your prompt response. My version will not update. Update online goes to "no update available"?

Hi again.

Hi Jeff, thank you for your prompt response. My version will not update. Update online goes to "no update available"?

If you're receiving this message it would seem your update service has expired. Is that the case? (Free updates are offered for one year from the original purchase date, but can be extended if the user chooses to buy another year of the service.)

Anyway, that should NOT prevent you following the rest of the instructions in my previous post. IOW, updating is NOT a prerequisite to accessing the Calendar option.

Thank you. I did not buy anything. I bought photostory deluxe and the manager somehow came with it. I don't remember exactly how I got it but have not paid anything for it. If the update is not required then I don't have the "Advanced Mode" box to mark.

Hi again.

Can you post a screenshot of the main screen? I have no idea why you cannot access Advanced Mode.

I've attached below a screenshot of the whole of the top part of the main window of Photo Manager on my computer. Does yours look the same? Do you not see the Advanced Mode tick box, highlighted in red?

UPDATE: Based on your comment that you Photo Manager came as a free addition with Photo Story, I think you must have the basic (free) version of the app. A look at this page shows an image for the free version that indeed does NOT include the Advanced Mode tick box. So, my apologies to you! If you really want this Calendar facility and can afford to do so I would strongly suggest you upgrade to the Deluxe version of the app in order to gain maximum benefit. The full version is currently £44.99, with an upgrade route, presumably from the free version, which should be even less.

Hi Jeff, I think you are right and I agree with you. most probably I have free disabled version of the manager. tiny hidden funny hook to catch me for the paid version. thank you so much for your help to see it. I appreciate it! Being frustrated a little bit I think I will live for a while without the calendar and will consider if I want the manager at all free or paid.
