"Burn standard dvd video to same disc" --

Using my new PhotoStory Deluxe 2017, I tried to burn an AVCHD disc (using a DVD+R disc) and selected the option for "burn standard dvd video to same disc". The disc I end up with will play in my BluRay player, but it will not play in my DVD player. I am not opting to burn to BluRay format because I do not have a BluRay burner in my PC. With previous versions, I have worked around this by simply burning 2 separate discs, but if the option to have a multi-play DVD should exist, I would like to figure it out.

I am in the U.S. Saw some othe posts about selecting NTSC during burn setup, but that was not an option available on screen. Perhaps that is only when selecting BluRay option?

How long is the movie on the timeline?

The max length AVCHD movie you can get on a standard DVD is about 20 - 25 mins. In the case of a dual format disc the combined file sizes for the AVCHD + DVD + menu videos should not exceed the disc capacity.

You should be able to burn Blu-ray format to DVD - the burner must only recognise the disc, in this case the DVD, - it will not recognise a BD disc - it burns the files it is told to burn on the disc and does not discriminate between DVD, AVCHD, or Blu-ray.
