audio recording

I am using Magiz Music Maker 17 on a pretty good Gateway PC laptop with Windows 7.  I am using a creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro external sound card.  What is the best ASIO driver to use when I'm doing microphone to acoustic guitar, microphone to an guitar amplifier, and microphone to vocal recordings?  Also, how do I get rid of the metronome click track that is being played and recorded while I am laying done tracks?

I think the ASIO driver that is approved and tested and supported for your audio hardware (soundcard). With that being said, you would want to ask Creative Labs what they suggest for ASIO drivers, unless another user on this site has tested or contacted Creative Labs before to get this information to share.

ASIO4ALL is not bad, I have used it on some older gear, but most of my audio gear came with its own ASIO driver. I would assume since Creative Labs and EMU formed a partnership years ago they would have the EMU drivers for ASIO.

Turning off the metronome in the audio side of the Music Maker 17.

Click on the MTN area in this area that is marked off in red. You may need to turn off the HRM as well.
