Audio problems with Movie Edit Pro Premium

Mac94920 wrote on 8/31/2022, 3:55 PM

I have been following the instructions to try to have the volume fade out via the "Edit volume curve" and it will not let me do anything other than cut the particular audio track. I had a previous version of Movie Edit Pro and I had no problem. I am also not able to mute the original volume off of scenes. I click on the box that with the speaker and click "off" and on some scenes the volume stays on even though the volume on all boxes are marked off.

Please help, I am very frustrated.

@Mac94920

Hi,

Which version of MEP are you using?

Is the audio part of video clips?

If so, have you set the parameter in Program Settings to have Video and Audio on separate tracks? You are best to do that. Ctrl+H will do it to video clips already on the timeline.

Can you post a screen shot of your timeline with whatever you are trying to do?

browj2 thank you for responding.

I am using version 21.0.2.138 (UDP3).

I appear to be having 2 separate audio problems. In one of those problems yes, the audio is part of the original clip. With the second problem, it is when I add audio, a song for example, and it does not let me fade the music out when I follow the "Edit volume curve" instructions.

Nothing seems to happen when I Ctrl+H in the timeline mode. The titles show up on different tracks but the original clips audio does not.

I can not figure out how to take a screen shot of the problem. But when i follow the instructions for Volume curve the line appears but when I click on it the track gets split.

Thanks for trying to help
