Apply a VST plug-in while recording?

Hi,

I've been using Sound Forge for about 25 years for voiceover recording. I just upgraded to Sound Forge Pro 18.0.0, Build 21, and I'm trying to figure out how to apply a plug-in as I'm recording.

Is this possible, and does anyone have any hints on how to do it?

Hi @Steve-5417, You can monitor through a plug-in chain whilst recording, (View> Record options). but I do not think it can be applied at the same time. Support or someone else may have a definitive answer. I do not use SF much for acquisition.

Thanks for that. Yeah, it looks like I can monitor through the plug-in chain, but it doesn't apply it until I save the file.

I guess I'll just stick to using the plug-ins post-acquisition.

I'll see if support can provide some assistance.
