Hi,

 

I have recently purchased it and using. The main reason to use it was I got laptop and uising audio interface will improve the audio sound.

 

It is cost wise good.

Eeasy to install.

Heavy duty body is strong not Plastic.

I think since I am using it in MMM 16 Premium, audio quality improved.

 

Only one headache of audio interface (that could be any interface) since laptop audio driver changed to this Tascam I am unable to record on computer such as I used to,

When watching video I can not record audio.

If I play music in Real Player or Windows player can not record in other music software because when I use audio intereface like this Tascam, my computer audio driver is set to Tascam, also speaker will work from Tascam audio interface or I have to use headphone to listen from Tascam interface.

If I want to use computer speaker and line in to record on computer without audio interface then I have to change settings from Tascam to computer also same applies in Magix Music maker settings.

 

Overall Tascam audio interface is good because its features are great. However there are also other makers offering audio interface.

 

My suggestion before you decide to purchase audio interface, you should think what for you need it write down on a paper. Then think of features you might be needing such as, if you use guitar or other instruments and wanted to use in recording the audio interface must got connection as well as Power Phanton Mic this is must. The next feature should be USB audio interface because it is easy to use.

Also on net search "audio interface"  enter, when you got some name, again search for example, Tascam US 122 Pdf manual, you can read full details do same for other products too and after reading you should decide which one to buy. Always buy a product which sutis your need and budget.

 

Note: audio interface must be for your OS, such as windows xp, vista or 7 please confirm.

I'm working with Windows 7 in Bootcamp on a MacBookPro.

 

I've done a lot of research on the internet about audio interfaces, and have even had a dialogue with Ralf at Magix Software about which devices to use with Music Maker. He has given me some examples on interfaces that he knows from experience works with MMM, but none of them was really what I'm looking for. (Just contact me if anyone want the list from Ralf)

 

I need a interface to record vocals and some guitars, and it seems like the Tascam device has got what I need.

Thank you for your detailed message.

Just remember, no matter what some software give probelm on Winidows 7. Some audio interface devices need extra driver update, please check in advacne on their websites before you buy any thing.
