Add video clips to slideshow

buffw wrote on 2/21/2016, 9:15 AM

I am currently working on slideshow with 187 pics in Photostory 2016 Deluxe w/WIN 10.  What I would like to do is import from camera card 3 short video clips (less than 1 minute each) to be added to menu as separate shows i.e. bonus clips.  I do not want them to automatically play after slideshow ends.  User would have to click button on menu page to have them play.  Is that possible?  If so, how do I proceed?  Thanks. Martha

Hi Martha,

By menu, I presume that you mean the menu in a DVD or BD, not in an mp4 or wmv file as they have no menus. In timeline mode, just above the project window, there are movie tabs. Click on the plus, right-click, rename to what you want to see in the menu for the movie. Insert you movie onto the timeline, edit it. Add in a movie as just described, etc. When you go to Burn, you will see all of your "movies" as separate icons for each movie. Change the text etc.

Hi

You need to add a second timeline to the project.

To do this ensure you are in timeline mode - you should see the current timeline as a tabbed window.

Next to the tab is a plus ( + ) sign - arrowed in image below - click this to add a new timeline then add the videos there.

Note:

  1. the image above is from Photostory 2015 - 2016 should be similar.

  2. If you click the down arrow next to the plus sign you can rename the timelines and these names will be used in the disc menu. When you create the DVD or BD the menu should have the 2 play options on it - you can not export the project as a video file and have both timelines in it.
